Not sure exactly what they did to the IBIS but I love it. I took some shots with my mZuiko 75-300 which I'd say handheld at 300mm(eq: 600mm) I am used to about a 60% keeper rate gave me 100% out of the 6 shots I quickly took. So whatever it may have done to effect the IBIS it did in the right direction. I even used it in my living room at one end full extension and it gave me motion free details of an intricate sculpted candle holder in poor light, handheld no less. I'm liking whatever they did that's for sure.
"Thank you for giving us IBIS for adapted lenses in Video-mode.
In the future, can you please give us a firmware update with the following; in order to make this THE best HDSLR video-camera on the market And the ONLY with IBIS?
~ 24p: Every single other HDSLR has this option. Might as well give the OMD this options as it's also the only HDSLR with IBIS.
~ Higher video bitrates: Even though the OMD is the only HDSLR with a fantastic IBIS, at the same time it has the least amount of video-bitrate out of any other HDSLR. 30-50mbps would be perfect.
Hmmm... after updating the Auto-ISO for Art 10 (Dramatic Tone) picture mode is capped at 1600. Every other picture mode can go to whatever highest ISO I set it for (12800 in my case). Can those who haven't upgraded their firmware confirm if this is the case with the older firmware as well?
It seems weird that Dramatic Tone is the only one that can't go higher than 1600. It's my favorite too

Where the heck is the OM-D firmware version 1.5 ? All I can find is the version 1.3 (for Win7) on Olympus site! I would be appreciated if someone can share with me the OM "secret" link....Thx
Thanks mcbroomf. I download & installed the "oly_updater_win_v103", then followed the instructions to upgrade OM-D firmware, but it's only at 1.4 version. Then I have to run it again to upgrade it to 1.5. Just to let others know the OM weird way of upgrade path.
Yup. The update to 1.5 requires a transitional firmware (1.4 if you're upgrading from 1.2, 1.3 if you're upgrading from 1.0 or 1.1). Disconnect and re-run, and you'll have 1.5 waiting for you.
