Thanks for the comment, but I am pretty sure I won't do as good on non-traditionnal subjects, for one simple reason : I really love traditionnal subjects, that's not true of the rest.
I love nature but it is very hard to make perosnnal and original images, plus I don't like to tweak images (seems almost unavoidable if you want an eye-candy landscape shot nowadays ...), plus it really requiers crazy amount of time (and transportation costs) to get THE good light. But I'm working on a little something that fly and will give me a different point of view on things, so hoppefully 2013 will have some suprises ...
And I am clearly not in love with the modern cities, it's superficial consumer lifestyle, it endless sea of concrete, the beaten and stresses salary man ... you have to love your subjects to take the best out of it, and I am not there yet in the relationship. If you want to see such images, there is one easy reference on the subjects, it's Alfie - he is really talented at getting fantastic images out of the metropolis, check it out www.alfiegoodrich.com
I understand and appreciate and share that POV about traditional subjects and look....and the city esthetic and even the modern landscape "eye candy" look that does not appeal to me (in most cases).
I like all your pictures. The pictures are really sharp and the colors are just perfect. You have treated them really well and I love how your pictures have rich colors but not too overpowering. My favorite has to be number 1 with the bit of red amongst so much white.
sozypozy > thank you !
#1 is also a personnal favorite, I dreamed a long time about that one before taking it
for treatment there is no magic : beautiful natural light (small clouds are my friends) and colorful subjects do everything, then post-treatment is almost zero
Alain,
This is the first time I see your work...wow.
Well look at more of it, but have to tell you I find all of the above great.
Composition and processing (clean as they come with nothing overdone) very refreshing.
Thanks for sharing. A fan after seeing this post.
Looking forward to many more.
Cheers
Carlos
Thanks a lots Carlos
Again the work is mostly done by my subjects and good old natural light
I'll post some more soon, you can also check the website for past years images, 2008 to 2010 are not too bad series I hope.
Cheers
Alain
