no problem, detail both the images you posted there looks amazing. i'm assuming the banding in the city shot is because you lifted the shadows a lot?
Yes, the shadows were totally black without lifting.

I took my DP2 bushwalking at Wilson's Prom. I thought it would be an ideal match for the Sony RX1 and a chance to compare two high end compact cameras.
The camera has major problems with the inability to deal with brown. That is my mother in the photo and she was horrified to see what looked like extensive bruising over her legs.
I was going to get the DP3, but this inability to deal with Asian skin colouring is unacceptable.
Mind you, the resolution and clarity of the scenery was wonderful.
I think you will find that the colour resolution and microcontrast of the RX1 is as good as this camera, but it does cost 6x as much here in Australia _SDI0113 by doveychicken, on Flickr

I'm really tempted to try the DP1m for landscapes during travel...
I really like the focal length of the DP1M, but the lens just isnt that great. Even the examples on Sigma's page show quite soft corners. I dont see the point of shooting Sigma if you are not getting very sharp images across the whole shot.

I continue to be amazed by this camera but I have found that there it occasionally produces a faulty image with half green and half red. Any ideas?
I am totally blown away by the resolution of the view of The Western Lookout from the Island at Werribee Gorge today. The colours are so accurate and the image is crystal clear with the sharpening turned down to -2 in SPP.
Any advice on getting rid of the red green half and half would be much appreciated. WesternLookout-2 by doveychicken, on Flickr
