On the other hand, the Chics say they are expecting a flight of wood pijums from Canadonia, defecting for better working conditions. Better check your staff.
That's quite the backyard John, amazing images and those bright yellow pijuns are cute, great post
@15-bit, thanks for the above image, it's fantastic, and your reply to my PM, the 5Dc looks like quite a nice older body, looks like one might be in my kit soon
Thanks Jerry. Looking at the local 2nd hand boards over here, a 5Dc sells for around 650 dollars equivalent. I struggle to see anything else that can offer the same kind of image quality at the price. Just as long as you can live without Liveview, MA and a big screen on the back.

I thought about all three and my 40D is much the same, except for liveview which I only use maybe 5%; probably less actually, I'm still thinking, I can always sell it later if it doesn't suit my needs; had the joy of it's imagery for a bit.. But I don't really think LV will be an issue, I still shoot film and my A-1, T90 or EOS-3s don't have LV either, give me a bright viewfinder and I'm good...34yrs so far, I'm so old school, help me
If I do this I'll give my 17-40L a try, our 45ft Gingko is just starting to go yellow, should have the camera before they drop, I'll post a few images; maybe even examine a few leaves with my 100 mac, they're amazing, have no veins like regular leaves
We sure don't get the beautiful blaze of Autumn's colors like others do, but our SoCal flowers sure can rise to a bit of warm sunshine. Tucked under the umbrella of a Queen palm found was a bright bunch of Bougainvillea, this variety is named "Pride of Dorking", it has that hot pinkish deep magenta/red of a Fuchsia and is quite common up n down the SoCal coast
Really nice image Jefferson...them old gears with bigger pixels sure do shine...love the background blur, bokeh of that 50, not to mention your spot on focus

Thanks...I like the IQ you can get from those large pixels at close range
I've been playing with the 50 FL to make sure I like it...even on a crop body...before I invest in the Canon 50L.
Not much around here any more, we've had some crappy weather for about 10 days in a row now, and it is getting cold. Finally a bit of faint sunlight today, snapped a shot of one lone duck above the lake and that's about it.
Handheld 1DX + 400 II.

That duck seems to heading South, Peter, beckoning you perhaps?
The 400 is formidable but is there any technical reason you didn't use the more nimble 500 for this outing?
