Not much sign of Fall here in Southern California, at least not where I've been going. Still sunny and warm. Couple Hummers from today. 7D, 300 f2.8 + 1.4x
Just for fun, here's one from a little Panasonic point & shoot I had at the same location. I just enjoy using both. The point & shoot is more of a challenge when shooting birds and especially Hummers, I guess that's why. http://www.pbase.com/gary/image/147077257/original.jpg
We were very fortunate (blessed) to weather through the hurricane with minimal damage, unlike last years' Irene. The photos & videos coming out of NYC and NJ look like any war zone I have witnessed up close and personal...my heart and prayers go out to everyone, as all are affected in one manner or another. Give thanks for what you do have...
A couple of photos of the typical effects of the winds, and the resident civil engineers (just prior to the hurricane) that I share a love/hate relationship with... Also, a couple from today as some of the local teams got to play their final matches as seniors.
All with the 7D, using the EFs 10-22mm or the 70-200 MkII L.

Edd, I am glad to hear that this time you have been spared major damages and injuries.
Thanks Peter...
15Bit, Doctorbird, Sritri: Thank you also...
Doctorbird: Hmmm...some nice new gears you have!
Time for a coffee and some project work today; looks like a good weekend coming up in our area, with the last of the fall color just hanging on in some places.
