Psych, I am glad to see that you have survived the storm.
based on your shots, I think you shall have a sufficient supply of firewood this winter.
+1
What a good sculptress Sandy turned out to be!
It seems like a calm after the storm. Or am I being deluded?
Thanks Peter,
It is actually very bad along the coasts of LI in the areas with mature trees.
80% of the power is down, my area utilities are underground, but that is rare.

Jerry, I couldn't see a blatant evidence of photoshop, but on a small low rez photo it's hard to tell.
Psyc, powerful images of mother nature's wrath, that twisted shattered stump is crazy, stay safe and hope you and yours are okay!
The shark photo is one of several in a dozen publications...in any event Sandy has pretty much swamped the east coast and killed or injured many, prayers/thoughts go out to all affected...we have our quakes out here, but to have 15 states involved in such devastation as winter approaches must be unimaginable...here's a link, with the shark pic, the flooding is unreal
Ontario by the lake today. The storm triggered by Sandy last night has not done any apparent damage in this area, except there is a whole bunch of fallen leaves all over, a bit prematurely.

Skibum, sorry to hear about the devastation you have suffered, however, the good news is always when there has been little, if any, human life lost.
Thanks to everyone.
Sadly death toll is building now, up to 30 I think including two from relatively near me, awful story, not sure I want to recount it here.
An oldie-but-goodie because I don't want the thread to drift too far down the page...
Made with an XSI and a 100-400, as I recall, in the fall of '08...
