What fantastic Autumn colors and with snow, well done all
Our SoCal Autumns are not as colorful, mostly various shades of green. We are fortunate to have a beautiful specimen level Gingko Baloba that in it's full color before leaf fall turns to a bright yellow.
A few pages back, about a month ago, an image of it in it's full green glory was posted, here a month later we are beginning to see it transform. Here are three shots, nothing special except the tree itself, it was late afternoon around 3:30ish and a 50D with 50mm f1.4 were used handheld...I'll take another set when it's yellow is in full blush!
5D2, 50mm f/1.2L, 1.2, 1/2500 @ ISO 50. Minimal PP in LR4 including sharpening and global CA correction, no lens profile used for natural light fall-off.
Here's a few others from semi-autumn here in Southern California. All shots 5D2 and 50L, at f/1.2, ISO 50, except the Reagan banner at f/1.6 and 1/8000.
What a gorgeous day you had, John T...I love the mountains-like-islands-in-the-fog views...like the Smokies, except pointy...and snowy...and really tall...
A couple from along the Buffalo River, and inside a tobacco barn a couple of weeks into the curing...
with the 24-105L, 70-200 II, and again 24-105L.
