Taken in the lake district UK from the top of great gable looking towards Wasdale head on a fantastic September day this autumn. Using my Canon 5dc and the 40/2.8 pancake. Definately a fantastic combination for light hiking.
Those Ducks don't stand a chance against your arsenal of Super II's. How many of them do you schlep around. The 400 and 500 together??

Db, mostly I just carry one lens + the TCs.
The other day I took the 600 as well as 200 f/2 just in case. Hiking with those two lenses in their separate two (heavy) bags + two 1D camera bodies, + a monopod just in case, + spare batteries, + couple of TCs.......that was quite a load ....not going to do that sort of a thing again unless it's a very short walk.
