Summer is gone, Autumn is certainly here, no more SoCal diving n dunking about despite the high temps, friends, their children are busy, back to school
Here an image for your thoughts, consequence of summer gone by, a clean yet empty un-splashed in pool, it's barely rippled reflections and stilled toys...handheld, 50D, newly acquired 85 f1.8 with hood; it's quite the sharp little gem of a lens!
Amazing variety in here as always, and many beautiful and interesting photos. I'll try and find time for some individual comments soon, but wanted to jump in and say hi and post some shots of my own.
All are taken within walking (or cycling) distance from home and using Canon 5D + 35L. A few are stitched.
Great landscape shots HelenaN and NCAndy!
However, I have a question for Peter: what if I only just recently got around to sorting my summer pics? Should I wait for the next summer to post them?

To everyone...WOW...great landscape images...really stunning work
Peter, the bokeh on those 1st two shots look almost like you were dealing with a bit of wind?
Your GB pijuns are crisp n sharp tho, high shutter speed?
Someone who's interested in buying my 5D2 wanted to "see pictures taken from the camera" lol, so I walked out on the beach last night and snapped a few pics of autumn on the beach I love this time of year when the crowds have gone home...

Really nice selection of beach imagery, that 5D3 looks like a mighty fine bit of kit
Even one of the Wedge...one of my fav body surfing spots back in the day!

Jerry, there was no wind.....what you see is OoF bush and sticks in the background which the lens couldn't blow out fully even at f/3.2 because they were not far enough behind the bird.
I have a couple of perches with a perfect geometry and the fall background, however, the GB pijun hasn't gone there lately.
Here is another one from the same series, the same effect of OoF sticks and scrub.
