The big smoke, as seen across Lake Ontario from Beamer Memorial Conservation Area on the Niagara Escarpment. That's the Great Lakes self-unloading bulk carrier Algoma Progress sailing west from the Welland Canal to Hamilton... (sorry, the export sharpening is quite crunchy on this one)

Jerry, very nice deer. Peter, great work with the duck! Have you tried the 61-zone AF yet? I've been playing around with it a bit at football games, and in certain situations it works pretty well. As for deer photos, you need to come to Hamilton. But, not joking about this... just down the street from me, near Cootes Paradise, I photographed a juvenile deer this past Sunday with a 28mm lens. Since I didn't shoot it on Canon, I'll just link to the post.
In any case, fall = football!
These were from a local university game a few weeks ago... All with the 1DX and 400 IS v.1
Peter, that is a beautiful image! The perfect pose, head feathers extended, the quintessential groom on the move! The feather detail is fantastic, framing superb...well shot

This type of shots I normally do not keep.....bad water reflection. However, it's colourful for sure with strong iridescence..
