Chance upon an apportunity to shoot the leaf insect this week.

Shot in the night. Trying out some non flash effects as suggested by macro kakis. Hope you like the effect. The first 4 photos are lighted by single source CREE led torch.

Last picture showed the real thing taken with flash.

#1. Shoot from below twig. Light source from above.

#2. Shoot from above. Light source from below right hand side.

Wow! What a literally marvelous subject, well-captured. My preference is for shots 2,3,4.
