I must admit it has a different tint to it, almost like a "tea" or old look to it. I like the silhouette of the distant Mtns, and the reflections.Its nice and crisp as well.
I guess the real question is, did you accomplish what you wanted, and are you satisfied with the results.
If you are then, it came out exactly like you wanted.

Starting with Ben's re-work, crop from bottom to just where reddish tones begin in water, and from left at or near the left side of the last peak.
This moves the waterline below mid-frame and broadly leaves three loosely equivalent areas horizontally: water, silhouetted shore/mountains, and sky/clouds.
To me, the bright areas at left and bottom - water and sky - detract from the basic image.

Yep, I realize my crop centered it, but dislike empty space more then being centered. I thought about going to the start of the red but left in the darker clouds. Yours is no doubt the better way.
I use scroll to cut off tops or bottoms of displayed images, easy way to see a crop effect.
