What great luck you had, Lil! It's moments like that, that revive us, isn't it? Sorry about your beloved pets. One of Westies had the same thing. Must be something about the breed. Very sad. So glad you're back! Play with your new toy some more. You never know what you'll see Desert Bighorn.. amazing!
Wild Bighorn.........hmmm and you were in Vegas? Congrats! Most of what happens in Vegas........................
Well I am pleased to say that you are not as rusty as you think, or at least it doesn't show here, those exposures are just sweet, good look at the eye Lil and nice sharpness for sure!
That isn't much of a tail to brag about and that parting shot sure gives another point of view

Glad you are out and about and enjoying your new camera.

Thanks Roberta,
30 years in CA & I've not ever seen one. We have them as well, but they're hard to locate.
Yes, love the D800

Welcome back Lil!
That's a fine specimen of a Ram you got there and well worth the unscheduled stop. I could feel your excitement coming through in the narrative.
Cheers,
Martin
Thank you Martin,
Glad to be back. But busy packing the kitchen as we're about to remodel the kitchen. So - I've got to pack it all I'll try to keep up
Glad you can feel my excitement.. I was shaking over it all & had some person asking me if I was a professional next to me. Asked if he could contact me for photos. Haven't heard from him so hopefully he got some shots of his own

Thanks Tom,
I've thought of you guys often over the time I've been absent. I promise to try to do better.
But I need shooting partners again. Or rather - I need Stephen & I to be more consistent in going out
Glad you enjoyed the big fella

Thanks Lynda,
It sure revived me to see this sheep. I'm sure most people in the US know of these guys & that there are three subspecies.
You had Westies as well My parents raised & showed Westies when I was a girl. Kelty's brothers are doing well. Never heard of this specific ailment before Kelty in Westies, but if one of yours had it as well.....

Lil, don't be a stranger. It's nice to have you around.
Nice work with the ram.

Hi Henrik,
ok I promise not to be a stranger Glad to know I'm appreciated by some.
I ended up too near a few confrontations on a few boards. One guy here chewed me out in a privet message (no names will be mentioned). That & life was too much for me & I left all photography forums at once.
Glad you like the ram

Welcome back to the posting side of the forum Lil! Must have been a thrill nevertheless!
I'm glad you got over the unpleasantness with the other member, Lil, and that you're willing to rejoin the forums. There are some quite unpalatable characters here (I'm not meaning specifically in the bird forum), for sure; I've got maybe 8 or 10 of them hidden. But that's just that end of the spectrum - there's also the other end. I look forward to more from you.

Thanks Ernie & you have the right idea - hidden is the way to go
And there are for sure far more good people here than bad.
Sounds like you enjoyed - good

what a find! this guy has about the biggest horns i have ever seen. keep the shots coming lil, especially if they are like this!

Thanks Dorian & actually to me these are small. Somehow they've been shortened. Could be that the government have caught him or some agency & released him again. I don't know - but I know they're shorter than I expected.
