p.1 #1 · Website revamp

Some of you may know I recently went through a complete website revamp back in Jan/Feb. While it was an improvement in function, I discovered over a short period of time that it didn't exactly tie into my brand esthetically. Well I decided a complete new overhaul was needed, again...and it is now complete.

Hiring designers (both web and graphic) is a struggle for me, because they can never capture what I want so I have to end up doing it myself :/ It is far from perfect, and not quite polished the way I want it, but I feel it's in the direction I've wanted to go for a while. Getting closer

I'm always appreciative of any feedback, whether positive or negative. Everyone experiences websites differently and I like to hear how people access, navigate and visit sites. If you'd like to take a peak and leave some feedback (whether public or PM) I'm all ears.

PS - This is built on Wordpress, using lots of jQuery (isotope, infinite loading, masonry, fancybox)
PPS - It is 100% HTML5 compatible, no more flash, and is a responsive layout (changes based on your browser, so iPhone/iPad have their own layouts)

My only gripe thus far is that when you click a photo from the main page, it takes you directly to the image instead of loading it in something like LightBox. It's a little bit irritating to have to click back.

Overall it's very smooth and looks cohesively put together though!

Did you notice that the resolution is lower when it scales to iPhone? Looks a little fuzzy on the iPhone retina display.

Very nice.

I saw a few duplicate photos on the homepage.

The pricing of Senior session seems to be a typo?

Thanks for the feedback. It does load into a lightbox, but it doesn't show thumbnails, but I'm probably going to add that. You can navigate with the arrows, or use your keyboard left/right buttons.

Ah, Lightbox is working now.

The lack of thumbnails doesn't bother me, because as it is, I'm just clicking on single images that I want to see, then going back to the main page.

[edit]
WAIT - it seems that the images that are lazyloaded further along into the galleries don't trigger Lightbox. Not sure what's going on there... The first "n" images use LightBox, but anything further does not.

When viewed horizontally on the iPhone it does, unfortunately it's something I'm not sure I can control :/ The images should be crisp but I'll look into it, thanks for the good eye!

I only saw one duplicate, thanks for catching it, was there more than one?

The pricing is correct, no typo

I love this. This is pretty much what I have had in my mind for a long while now. The only thing that I'm not a big fan of is the blog layout. I like bigger images and I drop all the other info from the left to the bottom/top.

Nice work!

Spencer.

Yup, confirming that this is true on other gallery pages as well. The initial images all load with Lightbox, anything lazyloaded later does not trigger Lightbox.

What browser and OS? I'm on Mac and use Chrome/Safari and don't experience this issue...

Maybe its me (and my eyes) but the images don't seem to be as sharp as they were on your old site. I'm on Chrome and Win 7

I like the design--clean and classy. I also like the flow of your info page and the gallery layout is different (in a good way).

The "thumbnail" view won't be as sharp, but viewing it large should be just as sharp

I really like the overall concept, but pictures are soft on my mac. I use safari and it really doesn't look good- knowing your work it's a serious drawback. No problems with loading here.
Thumbnails should be sharp as hell imo to get one's attention, and to get people want more.
Just something to consider.
