p.1 #1 · A Story ... strange encounter of the 1st kind
So my daughter, grandson, and I were out early looking over a bridge she captured some time ago. Heard a noise and suddenly a guy flying a powered parasail appeared low-leveling across a rail bridge.
Short story - after some aerobatics, not for oyur benefit I am sure, he dropped into the gorge, rounded the bend heading north and was not seen again.
Here are some images of the encounter. No time to change anything, 17-55mm Nikkor had to do the job.

These are some great captures of an opportunity type of shot. I am sure a set-up planned deal could be better, but not easy for you with a 17-55. A good time to have the 70-200 mounted.

You never actually told us where this was. I'm assuming either eastern Washington/Oregon, or SoCal, but there's no rr marking to confirm.
Oops, sorry - HWY 97 just north of Terrabonne, OR.

Great series!
You must have been excited to capture these.
I like the progression you gave us, with some wider shots for context, height and a bit of a scare, to the tighter images. Nicely detailed, sharp, and overall COOL.

Thanks Scott,
Yes - exciting, fun, and a problem to convey the scope in a limited number of images.
Plus, my first time using a D7000 and 17-55mm. All these newer gadgets with myriad of options - happy with results to say the least.
