These look nice...especially the last few. I'm by no means an expert. As many would let you know, I'm ok at best. I'm at the level of getting decent stock pictures. I come from a visual art background, and often look at composition and shape blocks and neglect the actual action.
1. not crazy about side-scrolling action or camera man. Not very strong
2. Good. Horizon is off (look at vertical bleacher lines. Horizontal lines may be skewed due to perspective, but vertical lines won't be off)
3. YES. Peak action! Crop tighter
4. OK. Not as strong as the frame before it, and needs to be tighter
5. OK. Crop tighter. No peak action
6. A composition with no action shot. I appreciate the way the players look...but when you actually look at the action, there's not faces or ball. Not sure who has it even.
Thanks for the feedback, sometimes you can only crop so much and these were cropped a lot already. I was shooting a 300 from the endzone so only so much I can do with that..I understand they could be cropped tighter.
#1 Agree would love for the news guy to be some place else, I love the effort to try and make a last ditch effort to save the touchdown.
#2 Agree about horizon.
#3 agree shooting with a 300 from other endzone can only crop so much.
#4 agree, have some money would love a 400mm
#5 ok
# 6 I kinda disagree about the action..he was just hit and the ball is on the ground out in front..agree would love to have the running back face or more of the defender but I understand different people have differnet opinions especially when it comes to pictures..but I do appreciate your feedback and will keep it in mind for furture images.
#7 agree
#8 agree but think #2 is best shot lots despite the background and yes it could be cleaned up to make the horizon appear straighter...
By th way Jeff, I envy you..I wished I had more graphic art knowledge and it would help create some great posters as that seems to be what the parents really want, with their childs imagine in it.
