Hey Nick... NPS in Canada could be a little different... I just read up on the US version online and it appears you request an invitation to join and then they contact you.
In Canada you include all the info they want right in your initial contact to them... maybe it's different. Worth trying to get ahold of them.
So long as you can prove you're a full time pro I've heard they will let things like a sponsor or tear sheet go. I went the full route with sponsor and tear sheet when I joined but I've heard others having them waived.
