Hey guys... if you're my friend on FB then you've probably already seen this, but I figured I'd share here. I got a little shout out in the September issue of Popular Photography for one of the shots that I did of my son, Tyler.
That's cool. I'm curious how you even got the mention. It's a good photo but it seems a magazine like Popular Photography would have sought after something a little more elaborate

The shot was part of an ongoing personal project, a photo a day of our son, Tyler. When I first posted the shot, it got a lot of feedback on FB, so sack in February of 2011, I decided to submit the shot to Popular Photography magazine for their monthly “Your Best Shot” contest. In March, I was contacted by Popular Photography and told that the shot was a finalist for the contest. Unfortunately, the shot was not picked as a winner. Then In July, they contacted Me and informed me that the shot had been pulled from the contest because they wanted to use it for an article instead.

Thanks... I'm definitely a proud dad. I'm excited that my work was featured and name mentioned, but way more excited to simply see his picture on the cover and in the magazine. I think that is going to be so cool to show him when he gets older.
