I know there is already a post about this from the past, but I am going to ask it again... Just a little more specific.
For those of you that are wearing dress shoes, what r u wearing.
I have been through a few shoes over the past year and a half with no luck. I have 2 pair of cole haan. Both are great for 4 hours or so, but after that not so much. Iv tried speerys, the good ones to, they lasted a little longer than the Haans. I even got a pair of all black Nike frees. They are no where near the look a wanted but a pretty comfy.
So I ask you what do you guys like, I wear khaki slacks and a button up or polo depending on location/bride.
I saw some Ecco dress shoes today that look nice, but I wanted to see what u guys where doing before I add to my shoe collection that is almost a large as my wife's...
Timberland Boots, I have 2 pair and wear them even when it's hot, (90-100).
I climb trees, run a lot during the day, lay in the sand; all kinds of stuff. Normal dress shoes don't have enough support or durability. The boots are perfect, one pair of slip - ons and one pair of lace ups depending on temps.

Why did I picture this movie scene?
Ebay store customer: So, I guess I'll just give you some money, and you can give me these shoes and-- Trish: You know, I know it seems so strange-- Ebay store customer: Yes. I'd just rather buy them from you straight up. Trish: Yeah, I know. I wish it could be that easy, but-- Ebay store customer: I wish, too, but you're making it extremely difficult for me. I'm just trying to get these shoes back to my house so I can wear them.
I think CKHagen just ended this line of questioing with this answer: My older self is probably pissed, but I regularly shoot weddings in these:
Seriously if she can shoot in something like that without whining about how tired her feet are (you don't whine right?) then us lads need to man up and just shoot.
My feet end up hurting no matter what I wear when I'm standing for 8-10 straight hours. The Cole Haan Nike air insole dress shoes are pretty cush but even those will hurt after a while. I've found the best thing for me is to switch it up and I'll wear one shoe for half the day and swap into another for the reception. I don't whine about it, I just have to be careful that I don't roll my ankle once I get tired so if I'm starting to get wobbly, I'll put on a spare pair of flats.
Seriously though, if you're practically wearing athletic shoes, I don't know what you think you're going to find that's going to make it better. Try wearing two different pairs during the day. The shoe swap alone changes things up and sort of shifts weight around.
