p.1 #1 · D+R :: Post Wedding Shoot in Liberty State Park

So this is the culmination of more than a year of shooting... We did 4 engagement sessions with this couple (one for each season) focusing on the sports, hobbies and activities that they enjoy most. Their wedding was a small affair with just friends and family.. so we did a little post wedding shoot a few days later.

Dang dude. You shot them 6 times in a year-ish?? That's crazy. They must LOVE you guys.

A question unrelated to the photos: How conscious we're you of using the same poses over the course of several sessions? Did you try to avoid it, embrace it or just not think about it? Or do you have a 300 pose repertoire that it wasn't an issue?

We shot them 5 times.... 4 seasons + this post wedding session. I guess they love us... they are friends of ours. They came to us with this idea and they weren't sure if we'd even want to do it, but as soon as we heard it, we said we were in.

Regarding the poses... I definitely would say that I don't have a 300 pose repertoire... I don't even know if I have 10. I usually try to get my couples to interact the way they might actually interact and then shoot it. So If I find a cool spot, I'll get into position and ask them to hug or stroll and hold hands... the result is something that isn't very repeatable, I think... the additions of different backgrounds and different compositions or focal lengths makes the results looks varied. Our winter session with them was a mountain and they went snowboarding ... you guys had done a shoot there, so it was difficult to find interesting locations that you guys hadn't already used.
