Both my Lexar 1000X cards failed same happened to another photographer that I know. I returned them, I am not buying Lexar anymore. I use my cards heavily so it may depend on usage.
I’ve filled up the 1000x 32GB card a couple of times on the 5DIII without issues. Somewhat disturbing that folks are having issues with this combination as I was actually thinking of picking up a 2nd 1000x 32GB card.
I downloaded the photos direct from my camera and had no issue. To be fair, I did the same a few months back (my old lexar reader couldn't even read the new cards so I was forced to use the camera) and I still had about 60% corrupt files. This time everything worked great so I'm going to try a few other cameras/readers and take a whole bunch of test shots and see what happens.
Thanks again!
Are you using a Lexar usb 3 card reader?

Seems this thread has been resurrected! I upgraded my card reader to the new Lexar USB3 reader and haven't had any problems since.
I am getting better transfer speed with Kingston usb3 reader in compare to Lexar usb3. Also win7 reconised Kingston much faster and problem less, I replaced Lexar from factory and esulta are same.
My 32Gb 1000x failed last weekend. Little disappointed in Lexar's support. Mail them the card and in 14-21 days they will replace it. So much for the 'professional' support and dedicated line.
I just got back from a trip to China. About 1,600 shots with the 1Dx on the Lexar 32GB 1000X and no problems at all downloading or viewing. No USB 3 was used.
