Thanks for these - I've been debating over an RX100 as a hiking camera, and it looks like it does the job very well. And much lighter than an E-M1 and 12-40 lens
Not a great shot, but happened to remember their was a partial eclipse today (not much on East coast) and it naturally was cloudy, but was able to still snap a quick shot of it using some sunglasses as ND grads in between some passing clouds. Maximum digital zoom on the RX100.
Again, not a "wow" shot, but it did let me see the eclipse as it happened, in a manner that wasn't visible to the naked eye, so was glad I carry my old RX100 mkI in the car
These are my first photos with Sony RX100 Mk2; as a newbie left the camera mostly in "P" mode and all photos are in-camera JPEG's, with some cropping and shadow lifting. I like this camera for being light and unobtrusive however under the bright light composing in the rear LCD is very difficult.
