I usually go for a clean solid image with rings, but I really liked this one.

I'm not sure how rad this is, but I was digging it at the time. It's a vertical phone too, so it took a bit of work to get those rings to stay hanging on the keys. The extension is the wedding date, so that was cool.

One from Vegas this past weekend. Totally got in trouble over this shot. I told the client to go sit at the blackjack table and place their rings on a chip. I had my assistant hold my flash in hand. Wasn't real noticeable. I had my poppers on and set and my 50mm on and all settings set. We tested it all in the lobby.

So they sat down, played a few hands and then placed their rings. I walked up and took the shot as my assistant did the lighting. I took off and kept walking. handed my camera

I was in Vegas a few years ago..well more like in 2005 with my newly bought 20D with the kit lens... ( Thought I had the bets lens back thern..) and I shot SO many shots in all the Casinos I was at..and not one person stopped me..and I didnt even see any signs for no photography or anything of that sort.. I shot without the flash mind. you but i held yup that 20D and shot people playing etc etc..I had a feeling i wasn't allowed..but I guess no one noticed without a flash firing...

They just don't allow shots of the games up close. They don't care otherwise

Awesome story btw! Love it!

were you shooting at the tables? i was able to shoot other spots with no problem. tables was a different game. plus i think some of the rules have changed recently. and if you look like a tourist, then they dont care. if you roll in for a full on photo shoot you wont be allowed.

Just an FYI, you are allowed to take those chips out of the casino. You could then have just placed them with the rings on any piece of fabric for the same effect and you wouldn't have run the risk of having your fingers broken with a hammer. They even allow you to bring them back and exchange them for money!

Just busting your balls. Good planning, hows your card counting?
