Rich,
What about the heat shut off?
If you are firing the slaves with two masters it may be that the slaves are getting hot and shutting down.
That is a possibility... but in the instances where it happened... they were both pretty early in the reception, in some cases, even before the night had started, so they hadn't been fired at all.
I think I'll have a change this evening to do some experimenting with my 600s.
To date the only time I've had them slow down or not fire is when I've put them into overheat mode. :-)
Got mine on Friday afternoon, configured and tested them Friday night for about an hour and then used them for my wedding on Saturday. Very easy to set up and easy to change on the fly. I feel like an idiot for not getting them sooner. As much as I love my Phottix Strato II system, they're going up for sale so I can grab a 4th 600.
^ Same. Used them at my wedding last weekend (3 of them, one on cam and two off). Love being able to control output of "groups" through the master on camera.
ETTL on 5dIII does indeed seem to yield more accurate results overall with 600ex.
