p.1 #1 · Outsourcing your proof editing? recommendations?

I know a lot of you guys do this, and i'm considering getting on the boat. However, there are a ton of companies out there that are doing this, so I was wondering if any of you would be willing to share who you're using, or give me a review/recommendation on any of the guys doing this?

I'm still on the fringes of making this my full time gig, so working a 40 hour a week day job and shooting 18 weddings a year is starting to get overwhelming.

Did you visit the link? It's highlighted right there for you in yellow:

"How it works: Send your RAW files or Jpegs either on DVD, small external drive, or even a CF card, or FTP your files. The fee is $.28 per RAW file, and $.32 per Jpeg."

I run an editing business, Shoot Edit Love. You shoot, we edit, your clients will love.

We're about to launch our website as I've kept it small and private but I have FM'ers as customers currently and a handful of other photographers from around the country.

Quick, simple, fast.

http://facebook.com/shooteditlove

There is a $15 dollar per portrait job fee, plus 0.10 cents per edited image. If I am culling & editing, then it's 0.15 cents per image. These are the standard prices which includes full RAW or JPEG color/wb/saturation/contrast/black levels correction/editing. Wedding editing is exactly the same, except there's a per job fee of $25 + the editing cost. This offsets storage fees.

I welcome you (or anyone) to send me 5 free test files to [email protected] and I would be happy to edit them and show you what I could do to help your business.

Everything we do is transfered via Secure FTP access under private logins. If you have an immense number of photos then DVD, large CF cards or external harddrive/usb drives are recommended and welcomed. My father in law runs an international missions mailroom so shipping costs are low and fast with tracking numbers always. Most clients right now are FTP'ing, but that depends upon your connection speeds.

I am currently not offering album design, but that is about to change once the new website is online! :o)

Everyone take care!

I hear your pain as I'm in same boat and could not edit more than 2-3 hours per day due to full time job.
Normally how long it takes people to edit a wedding ? Indian weddings are 2-3 days events but for normal 8-10 hours american wedding how long it takes people to edit ? How many images on average you guys are shooting per wedding (8-10 hours time frame) and how many you deliver to client ?
