p.1 #4 · Anyone use a Tokina 17-35 F4 on Nikon Body?
I bought one back in May of this year, but really haven't had a chance to give it a good workout. Here's some random sample images on one of my D700's right after purchase:
Build quality is typical Tokina (fantastic,) and from what I saw it's a keeper. Especially for the $$$. I got in on the $40 rebate, now it's $70 (thru Sept 30th 2012.)
A much as I'd love to have the Nikkor 16-35/4 VRII, this lens seems to be a great alternative for a lot less cash.

No problem at all William. Sorry I didn't have anything other than "sandbox testing" to give you a good feel for it. I'll try and get out there and do some "real" photography soon...

I received the 2nd copy of this lens. I think I can say from comparing 2 lenses that it it's pretty close to the Nikon 17-35 f2.8 (certainly at apertures you would be using it for landscape) ...
