Indeed they do: 2979. At the time I started the topic, Konijnenberg was selling them for 3049. One week ago it was 3349. They must have lowered their price in the meantime. Maybe we get a price war here and the 5D3 ends up at 1999 in a couple of months.

Fat chance! But I'd sure like to see this happen of course
I am wandering though, how much the price on the 5DIII will go down within the present day and lets say 6 months. I mean, it already went down over 500 euros in the last few months and at some point I guess it will hit some kind of bottom pricing?
I remember when I bought my 5DII it was on the market for about a year and the price had come down from 2500.- euros to 1710.- which is the price I paid for it. But after I bought it the price only went up and down a bit, but it never became any cheaper then the price I paid for it... and even now the 5DIII is released the price of the 5DII still hangs around the 1700.-....
So,what do you think, what would be the "bottom price" of the 5DIII?
hmm.. At this price I would not buy it there. From what I have read this internet shop doesn't provide a very good service and lacks decent communication. I would rather spend 100 euro more and buy at a Dutch (internet) shop with a good reputation like Cameranu.nl, Kamera-Express.nl or Fotokonijnenberg.nl.
Ik hoop that Daan B is right about the price going down to something like 2500,- or so. That would mean a price of 2100 euro excluding VAT which would make it interesting for me enough to get one this year.

Dat hoop ik ook. But the prices at cameranu and kameraexpress are back to 2999.

Ah that sucks :-( but then again, i'm not in the market for a 5DIII yet anyway (unfortunaty I don't have the funds just yet) and I am pretty sure the prices will go down again soon enough. It's still available for a decent price by the way, Digitalstreet.nl sells it for 2775,- and Mediamarkt.nl for 2783,-
I would still rather buy one at Digitalstreet or even Mediamarkt then at some Hong Kong shop like Simplyelectronics...

right.... now the prices of Digitalstreet and some others have gone up again as well. Digitalstreet is still cheapest though @ 2939,- Still I don't understand where this sudden price increase comes from...

tbh... I am more and more getting the impression that Canon made them raise their prices to a certain price point (which apparently is 2999,- euro). Otherwise why would all these different shops all raise there prices at almost the axact same time??
