This alone may be worth an augment (from the DP preview):
"The A99 features dual card slots. The upper position is compatible with both SD and Memory Stick, the lower one only with SD.
The writing behavior can be adjusted. The options are:
1) Manually switch between cards
2) Write everything to both cards
3) Duplicate only stills
4) Duplicate only movies
5) Stills to one card, movies to the other
6) JPEGs to one, Raws to the other"
Strange it's limited to 6 fps. Sony has had processors capable of handling 24MP at 10 fps for more than a year. I know it has 14-bit RAW, but that shouldn't be halving the frame rates.
ISO 25.6K max seems odd too. They can do that at 36MP for Nikon.
Should be great overall though. The EVF is going to be wonderful. Focus peaking and live histograms I in your viewfinder are wonderful things.

That looks like a typo on Dpreview's part. Probably, "optional" => "optical"
It could be a typo, but it didn't come from DP. It came from the press release at the bottom of Photographic Central's Preview. It would be nice if we got an a99e, though.
That's also where I got the news about the new ZA lens:
"Additionally, a new wide-aperture Carl Zeiss® A-mount prime lens is now under development. Optimized for superb results with the camera’s new 35mm full frame image sensor, the Planar T* 50mm F1.4 ZA SSM will be available next spring. "
