While walking around Centennial Lakes in Caboolture I ran across some White-eyed Ducks (Aythya australis). The critter is also known as The Hardhead. Only adult males have the white eyes - females and immatures look similar and have brown eyes.
Obviously, the last pic is of a dusky moorhen. The patterns in the water took me back to the 1960's.
