That's ringing a bell... I think I tried one of those a couple years ago and had bad luck with the battery. I've decided to just bite the bullet and use only Canon batteries.
I think as a spare they're fine. I bought tool batteries from them which were ok, but tool batteries take much more of a beating than a camera battery.
I read a recent consumer report that said that the cheap batteries such as Kirkland, perform just as well as the top brands such as Duracell. Changed the way I look at batteries.
I've used Sterlingtek.com in the past. Batteries just keep working. I've used Batterybarn in St. Charles, IL. The battery died, and when I called them they shipped out a new one, asking only that I ship the defective one back in the same box.
