The sockeye run is starting to run down so the bears are having an easier time catching the fish. This is the second sow with three cubs we had in the area this year. Both shots taken from our front deck

Our second salmon run will start shortly (Silvers) and after that completes the shoreline will littered with salmon and that is when the bears really congregate. To keep them out of the house and yard we use an electric fence and as you can see with this photo I took last September from our back deck it really works.

I really don't have anything to compare my 100-400 to except my 70-200 II. It seems like the 100-400 does better with the 1.4x III than the 70-200 II.
