This afternoon I went down to the wetlands and saw a few photographer friends,
there was not much going on and they slowly thinned out.
5 minutes after the last 2 left the terns and gulls were making a racket and I turned around
and our "resident" Red-tailed Hawk was on the railing behind me. He has learned that the
pigeons nest underneath the footbridge and has been successful getting his prey there.
After about 15 minutes and no luck with the pigeons and being hassled by the gulls he departed.
He did leave me with a nice portrait with the sun reflecting on the wetlands in his eye.
Nice ending to a nice sunny afternoon.
Gorgeous image, Tim.
And thanks for pointing out the reflection- I might not have noticed it. It turns the whole picture into something beyond merely excellent. It is also unique.

Thanks Sunny,
Don't expect to much at the wetlands it has been very, very, slow this year. It does have
it's moments but more often than not I go home with an empty memory card.
