why would one buy it and then decide to sell it in a month? thats not exactly an impulse buy.

I've got one coming (rental) next week, can't wait to try it out. I'm secretly hoping it's not any better than I expect it to be so that I won't be tempted to get one, but we all know the 300/2.8 is a phenomenal lens.

I can't say I didn't immediately check your B&S link when I saw this topic a while back (it was already withdrawn by then).
