I know I can click "hide me" if I don't want to see someone's posts, but I would like to be able to hide threads- you know the kind where a few people blather on and on about something that is either totally stupid, or an issue with a manufacturer's product that after 20 pages of posts is pretty much a waste of time (we all understand the issue after a few pages of threads)
Unfortunately many titles are not indicative of the content. The best that could be done might be to have a thread started by a HIDE ME member to be hidden by default.

any interest Fred?
I was very reluctant to add the hide member feature. At the end, my interest is to have all members to get along.
Maybe we could make threads from the hidden members part of it.
Best,
Fred
I understand!
I don't think I've ever used the "hide me" thing, but it seems like a good "deterrent" feature. The thread that got me thinking about the "hide thread" was: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1127206. (not the thread itself, but the types of threads mentioned.)
I think the best way to discourage bad behaviour is for the moderator to warn the perpetrator and then temporarily suspend their privilege to post anything at all.
