Hello all! I was very fortunate to have a friend tell me about some Great Grey Owls spotted not too far away from me. I went repeatedly but had very little luck, then finally one day... I got these!
where did you find these guys? we have great horned owls around the neighborhood on occaision, but only at night. nice shots, they don't look heavily processed at all.
Well you have hit the grand slam of owls on this one my friend. If you didn't fess up to the bad light no one would be the wiser. Just great shots of amazing birds. And when you say close do you does that mean within 6 hours or 30 minutes...your definition of nearby is slightly different than mine

OMG Conrad, these are to die for!! This is a bird I've been dying to see and photograph, and you got adults AND fledglings. Really spectacular shots, every one. So hard to pick, because they're all killer, but I think 6 and 10 are my faves.
Whooooo's your daddy!!! Oh man CT these are a treat. I don't think I have ever seen shots of young ones before, congrats on getting them They all look like somebody is goosing them
