Today is a beautiful summer day in this corner of the world. I had the pleasure of hooking up with Jay (Sirfishalot) and Tom S for a Hummer shoot. The Hummers are just starting to heat up at our Summer Hummer Haunt. Today was moderately slow but things are just starting to pick It was great to shoot with the guys again, it's been a while that the three of us got together. I'm slipping the Crow in even if it is a lousy perch, it's a good Crow!
Got to say these are some very pretty hummer shots with some gorgeous flowers and to die for background. The feather detail is off the hook...don't think it is that easy to get such critical focusing on those speedsters.

great shots tim! i'm amazed to see that the 800 works so well to capture these little guys. love the color from the flowers as well. these shots are not helping to quell my desire for the 800.......

Overall great set from first to last, but I especially like #2.
