I've never been able to get a good shot of a green heron, until last weekend. The light was harsh, but the poses were great! C&C welcomed and appreciated!

Chris, I got to 1000mm using a 500 f/4 and a 2x tele. I stopped down to f/10 to get a little sharper of an image. I had to turn VR on, even on the tripod to get a good results.
