I was at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm, FL last weekend and heard alot of splashing from the gators so I knew something must be up. Was surprised to see a larger gator killing and eating a smaller one. The problem in trying to eat a gator all by yourself is that at least 20 other gators decided they want to share in the feast as well. They were doing death rolls trying to break pieces off and this went on for about 2 hours. Lots of fighting and I kept having horror thoughts of what would happen to me if I fell off the boardwalk. Hope you enjoy.
In a gator-eat-gator world, what would you expect, the big ones eat up the little ones. Nice sequence Steve. Surprising the admin. would allow this to happen if these are being raised for meat/hides.
I really like the eye in the first.

Well documented and always a little difficult to watch members of same species eating one another. Although I think I hear them saying, "tastes just like chicken!"

sounds like the alligator farm did not feed the stock, or let them cannibalize to offer cheap thrills. In any case, sad moments for such great and powerful creatures - being eaten alive by peers while under a human caretaker's care.
If this had been a zoo the reaction would have been much different, perhaps.
great captures, the first one is interesting and the rest could maybe be used as evidence against the 'farm'. I am sure cannibalism for the tourists is not part of their license or State of Florida mandate.
