Once this KF appeared on the branch he stayed for 2 minutes, came back after 6 minutes for 1 short minute
and after 13 minutes returned a third time for more than 8! minutes. Meaning ........ I got some more.
Thanks for looking. Comments are always welcome.

Very nice work Christian, all technically excellent it seems to me. The subtle differences in each pose make me wonder what's going on in his mind, almost like he has a personality the way you captured the nuances.
I'm curious as to what you used for equipment. I just purchased a sigma 300-800 since my 400 even with extender seems to fall short in the focal length department for small animals and birds. I'm working my way up from more static subjects. The 400 tracks well but the sigmonster is a little less proficient.

Thank you Doug for the good words. My equipment here is simply a Nikon D7000 + Nikon 300 f4 + 1.4 TC shot wide open.
The branch was very close to the hide. The images are slightly cropped from 16mp down to 13.5mp.

Many thanks Eric. Glad you like them all.
I wasn't aware they are not common on the other side of the pound.
In dutch we call them 'ijsvogel' meaning ice bird. Probably because of the colors.
But three weeks of ice in enough to cut their population in half. They only eat fish.
