It's a medium roast. I do make my coffee strong...but you don't realize how light it really is in a thin stream coming out of the coffee maker. The coffee in the cup I lightened a bit in order to bring out the texture of the bubbles formed from the brewing. I didn't notice the reflection before....it does look like the bull.

I think I prefer the first one. The left isn't visually interesting, but it gives the bridge an anchor point.
