Those who cannot afford 75 1.8 may consider its lovely uncle (MC version is strongly advised):

This is a great combo. Even better on a smaller body like the E-M10 or E-M5/5II. I used this setup to shoot the Northern Lights in Iceland. For everything else I would switch to the more versatile 12-40 lens.

I have been tempted to pick up an EM10 with just that in mind (12mm). Would be great for travel.

Too limiting IMO. the 12mm is perfect for nightscapes, night skies, and other low-light work. Although it's quite a bit bigger, the E-M1 + 7-14 PRO is great for travel and landscapes. It's still small and light compared to a Nikon 800/810 + 14-24/2.8 lens.

I've yet to pick up the 7-14 and 12-40 pro lenses (controlling the budget tightly this year!) but did use the 12-35 2.8 for most of the walk about stuff. Not sure why I had the 12mm on at this point!

The 12-35 is a great option, and it's smaller and lighter than the 12-40. Just keep it out of the rain!

Isn't the 12-35/2.8 also weather sealed?

You are right - it is - but maybe not as good.

I borrowed the wife's OM-D-M1 (14-150 4.0-5.6) for a trip to a Car Show/Swap Meet yesterday...my Fuji X-T1 may be spending more time in the safe.
