Believe it or not I've had my A7 II for nearly 2 months now ... and I still don't have the urge to take it out for a test drive! I am more excited about my new Audi A4 Quattro.

The FF Sonys are great cameras for shooting with legacy/MF lenses, as focus-peaking works better than on the OM-D. I would encourage you to get a used A7 II if you can. The A7 or A7r are pretty good too although I do not like these earlier versions as they have a lot of quirks and the shutter noise can wake up the dead!

Still waiting to see some shots and thoughts on the A7 Bobby

Only reason it really interests me is this nice Nikon 50mm F1.2 and my Olympus 24mm F2.8

Figured a used A7 could be a good way of getting some more use out of those two amazing lenses even though I have more MF glass those are really the only two ones I really want to use.

Hope I'm not too late to this party. I bought a used Sony a7r this year (from a woman who bought it from Joshua) and I have been really impressed by the images it gives me. And with its almost non-existent register, I'm able to attach my entire collection of old MF lenses. And they're producing even better images than they did on my Canon bodies.

There's an E10 on its way to me next week. If it does what I think it will do, my Canon kit will go up for sale, and I'll be totally mirrorless. I'm going to start with my old Zuikos - 18, 21, 24, 28, 50, 55, 85, 135, 200, 300, plus macro kit. I have a couple of old Leica Rs and a couple of C/Y Zeiss T*s as well, but no UWAs.

Am I go I by to want something wider than the Oly 18?

Shoot, you do have a lot of OM Zuiko and alt lenses. You are better off using these lenses on the Sony A7r ... but you should be posting this question on the Sony forum and not here, as folks here only interested in seeing images from the Olympus OM-D and PEN cameras.

I didn't get serious about going m4/3 until I found this thread and saw the images. Yours are superb. Yeah, these old MF lenses are great on the a7r - the e10 can be my new crop body, and from what I see and doing the math, these old lenses should produce wonderful images on the e10.

I'll start posting images on this thread once the camera arrives. I'm very impressed by what I see. Something to strive for.

Should I apologize for not being contentious?

Yeah been thinking about the II version but the first version is getting dirt cheap used, I've seen them for around $600 in Sweden, same as the Nikon D700 used goes for. Remember everything is about 25% more expensive over here then in the US

Of course, II does seem a lot better so I can wait a couple of months

Great B&W's.

I love shooting my girlfriend when she's horse riding as well, those training houses usually have great smooth lighting, never enough of it but it's a beautiful light.

The sensor is important but not the only important thing. Olympus now offers the more balanced system. For landscape photography, you usually have to move with the camera equipment on your back, tripod, filters, lenses, bodies ...

Not to mention the amount of aid offered to the photographers to make more easy his life (stabilized body, expansion viewfinder, focus peaking, Livetime, LiveComp ...)

Not everything is as simple as it seems ;-)

Sorry for my bad english

Your English is fine and your photos are amazing. I am still grabbing my d800 for landscape but a upcoming trip has me maximizing the Olympus system so a change may be in the wind.

Colorado near Pagosa Springs. On the way to Piedra Falls -- what beautiful countryside, I really wish I had time to visit the area for about a month (and solo, so I could take all the time I want with photos!)
