I don't think it does. When you mount a 43 lens on the camera, your AF overall grid changes, indicating the PDAF positions. You can move your cursor outside the box, but the focus box will turn red(?) I think (can't remember).
Also, I've heard if you shoot in low light even with 43 lenses it'll switch over to CDAF automatically, but I haven't noticed anything that would indicate that .. I'll have to do some more testing.
As far as AF accuracy - going from memory, I really don't notice anything super special about the E-M1's focusing versus the E-M5's...both seemed pretty accurate to me.
Now C-AF *is* much better on the E-M1, at least testing the 12-40 and the 50-200 SWD. I found it pretty unusable on the E-M5, tested with the 12-50 kit, PL 25, Oly 45 and Pana 100-300.

The em-1 is a completely different camera - response is lightning fast.
Been shooting too much with other gear recently and neglecting my OM-D. It was nice to have it out today. I can head out with the OM-D, the 14 2.5, 20 1.7, 45 1.8 and maybe the 9-18 and there is little I can't shoot, such a nice system...
