Finally received my EM -1 with 12-40 and 75 1.8. I really like the feel of the camera - weight, size, build quality etc. Took it out for a spin at the boatyard and a few shots in the house. Very pleased with IQ, color and handling of the camera. Not too thrilled with the menu system but I am sure I will figure it out eventually.

I need to get myself a telephoto, but still unsure what to go for, as I'm seriously debating between the 35-100 and adapting the SWD 50-200. I have a feeling the SWD would be disappointed in AF speed, especially after using the 12-40.
Re autofocus speed, I expect that the SWD 200 would be quite good. I am using the 150mm f2 and it is very good when using CAF (not tracking) and the 9 center points. Also using the focus limiter switches makes it that much better. No, you can't compare it to the speed of the 12-40mm (have that too), but it's very good. The 150mm f2 at least keeps up nicely at about 5 fps, and probably could do 6.5 fps with greater that 10 feet away using the focus limiter switch.
The 35-100mm I'm sure would be better for autofocus speed so if that's the range you need, I'd go for it.

Thanks for the info. Problem is, I have limited funds and I want them all
I owned the 50-200 SWD back when I had the E-5 and loved loved it, but I'm not sure how well it would handle compared to the 35-100, which seems tiny in comparison. I'd love the extra range, though, and I used to use it with a 1.4x TC with favorable results, also.
Me, being the idiot I am, didn't order the MMF3 and get the rebate, so if I go that route, I'll have to pick it up and actually pay for it.
Edit - Bah, I'll just go for the 35-100, as I know I'll get tired of the weight and bulk of the 50-200, as good as it may be.
More snow today, a lot more than before. Had to buy myself some waterproof boots, my running sneakers weren't cutting it in this weather! EM1 and the 12-40.
