More from my ballerina shoot with the E-M1 and 12-40 lens.
I have to say they look pretty sharp, except #4. And the relative sharpness of the background makes a case for a larger sensor---I would have preferred a shallower DOF.

True … but one can also use a faster lens like the 12/2 or 17/1.8 or 25/1.4 to get more-or-less the same b/g softness as a 24-70mm on a FF sensor.
I received my Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO lens Friday and ditched work today to play with it. It was my first chance to walk around downtown testing it with different subjects and focal lengths. I'm 100% impressed with the quality and don't regret one dollar of the price tag. Here is my favorite shot of the day… wide open at f/2.8, 31mm, ISO 250.

Harry, very impressive images. I love the birds… that lens seems to deliver. My favorite is the tables and chairs… the colors leap off the screen.
Hi Doug.
Thanks a lot for the kind comments.

Broke down and just ordered the EM1 and the 12-40 Pro. I couldn't help it, looked really nice. Canceled my A7 because I knew I'd get tired of lugging around the larger lenses, even if the body is sexy small.
