Beautiful portraits Veeresh, I especially like the first one.
Thanks Mawz, great little macro and very nice colors! Kit lens in macro mode?
Jman, understand that, I had a 50mm 1:1 Macro for my Nikon D700 but found it waaaay too short, the 60mm looks good with the m43 format
Two recent, well actually, one photo and two versions.
We recently had a change in weather here, it went from very warm and nice summer to slightly colder and very wet summer basically over night. We've had some very fast, very wet, thunder storms move past (although not much thunder in them) which makes for some nice dramatic skies.
First edited in Lightroom 4. Second is the same Lightroom edit but then further edited in Silver Efex Pro 2.
Pan-Leica 25mm again at F4.5, 1/4000 second and ISO 200.
Good to hear (FT5 rumor) that the new Olympus zoom lens will be a 12-35/2.8 lens that is as good optically as their superb FT 14-35/2 lens. F2 would be sweet but 12mm is much better than 14mm! I was toying with the idea of getting the Zuiko 12-60 lens but that thought has suddenly evaporated!
Thanks Rasmus, Juju and bobbytan. Glad you liked the portrait(s). Here's one of the first test shot I had taken with the 75mm with very minimal processing:
Thanks, and yes that's the 12-50 kit lens in macro mode. I'm not generally a fan of the 12-50, it's remarkably mediocre for its cost but in Macro mode it's rather decent.
Longing for the 60 macro today for some reason. I had an idea it would have allowed me to think more about the image taking rather than getting the shot. Who knows, not I.
