Happy to be helping those poor animals get adopted. Good photos really help. Too many dogs and cats are being put down daily. Really sad. I have 2 adopted cats.

Found this tree by a farm, asked the farmer if I could shoot. I was looking for a subject since I saw the clouds in this area and just had to find something to set them behind, since they were so great.
That's a great shot, Jordan. The composition really works for me. But I like the first version better. Especially the clouds in the HDR version look too contrasty, to me. The BW is also too punchy for the scene/content, IMO. But the original shot - love it. I'm also shooting you a PM regarding your X-E1 and Olympus m4/3 cameras.
I prefer the HDR version better mostly because of the detail/contrast/pop in the foreground/grass area. I would agree that the sky is a bit contrasty on the HDR version ... but I think you can smoothen or tone it down slightly with some noise reduction. That usually works for me.
