Given the EP-5 has the same sensor, same great 5 axis IBIS etc, is this thread going to be for images from that camera as well or would a new thread be made ? (given I don't think anyone could tell them apart I'd vote for making this OM-D/EP5)
I'll have a silver EP5 kit in hand via FedEx tomorrow. Been shooting the RX1 and XE-1 lately but will be fun to get that great 5 axis IBIS again and the touch LCD. Really opens up some fun and creative shooting options you can't really do with other cameras.
I agree. The E-PM2 onwards share the same sensor as the OM-D ... or better, as in the case of the E-P5.
How about if I change the title of the thread to OM-D/PEN Images?

What planet are you from? Have you not heard of Starbucks Coffee?
Yes heard of it but never wondered into it.
Seems a good idea to have an Olympus thread, I admit I do enjoy specific camera threads , as they make an easy reference blog if you wish to research images and the such. It is the sensor which I for one use most as a reference on what to look at, now it would appear there are going to be a few Olympus cameras using this same sensor.
On the beach today and picked some Samphire. delicious raw or steamed with a good dressing.

Hey...you wouldn't want to let me use that brand new E-P5 for a week before you use it, would you...you know, for review's sake.
I rather enjoy pulling a new camera out of the box myself right after FedEx/UPS drops it off lol, but if for some reason these things are totally backordered everywhere for a while like a Ricoh GR, I'd probably be willing to let you borrow it so you could do a timely review.
I think the overall demand is going to be less, so I wouldn't expect these to be as tough to come by as the OM-D initially was.
I went through H&B Digital which has never failed to get me the newest Olympus stuff right when its released. They had the EP3, the OM-D and now the EP5, all at normal pricing (Saw one for $1699 on Amazon from some seller who wanted to back a buck). They used to be an Olympus Distributor and then switched over to a retail store so they must still have pretty good connections with Olympus
String very nice image and good use of the 75mm open.I think I saw these elsewhere and left a positive comment at the time? liked them then and again now, if it is the same pic it does show better here. looking forward to more.
Dare I say it ... the 75/1.8 lens has a bit of the Zeiss and Voigtlander quality ... good micro-contrast and color, and its almost 3D-like.
Maybe we should start a new image thread for this lens exclusively. It will encourage us to shoot more with this lens and motivate us to be more creative.

I dont need to be encouraged to use the 75mm, I force myself to take it off, it is my first too lens and the one that is always attached in the bag.
A 75mm thread would be a good idea, or maybe a Olympus prime thread?
