Some new ones with the Zuiko ZD 50mm F2 Macro. Focus is extremely slow but a bit better if you set an AF point. Surprisingly sharp at F2.
It feels at least as sharp as the Contax G 45mm F2 if not slightly more but a bit more neutral contrast and a bit less saturation. At F2, the Oly is definitely sharper than the Contax G. At F4, probably comparable but maybe slightly more resolution on the Oly.
The bokeh is certainly far better on the Oly than the Contax G 45mm F2.
I used an B+W Linear MRC polarizer for most shots.
The lens is a pain in the ass to use and is making me reconfigure my OM-D but even at F2, it can really deliver. It's F2 shots have the same resolution of other prime F4 shots. It's only big weakness besides the focus speed on the OM-D is the CA and loca.
Your post just inspired me to go out and try my hilariously unwieldy Sigma 100-300/4 on the OM-D. It's actually ridiculously sharp and has great bokeh at f/4 but it's pretty difficult to handhold at 300mm.
Was out shooting a tiny bit at night today. I was taking a few shots of the moon over the clouds, when I noticed that the clouds would occasionally light up from lightning in the approaching storm. I framed the shot and waited for 'extended' lightning activity as I don't have a lightning trigger and I didn't have a tripod to try a long exposure to capture this (plus, it was only about one flash every 40 seconds or so). Took a bunch of shots, including some with great framing in landscape orientation, but unfortunately, catching lightning by hand is pretty tough. Still...I got one shot where I caught the lightning lighting up the otherwise completely dark clouds.
