Early this morning at Allentowns Rose Garden. Lenses used , Canon FD 100 F4.0 macro and Novoflex bellows (Exakta mount) with a 105MM F4.5, Steinheil Munchen, Culminar lens.
Harry Palmer
Harry a nice set. I enjoy myself the added need to concentrate more on the actual equipment, whilst in the process of capturing an image. It works and can bring added satisfaction.
Some from a enactment on English Archers from the 16th century with their women folk.. Unfortunately I could not stay for the actual artery competition. These where taken prior, whilst they were chatting to the public from their tents.

These are practically as good as shooting your 400/5.6L lens on a Canon 5D2. Well done!
Bobby I would go as far to say better than shot on the 5DMK2. I love the 5D to bits and if given the choice of overall image quality and the EF lenses, I would have to go with the 5D. For subject matter such as Macro I have, believe it or not, preferred the canon crop sensor, in my case the 30D, having had more success. There are obvious reasons for this.
The EF 400mm on the OM-D is equivalent to 35mm 800mm, I personally think this extra reach and the pixel density of the small sensor gives these good results and that is the advantage it has over the 5DMK2 + 400mm f5.6 combo. Added that the 400mm lens can be shot fully open as f5.6, which is as far as I would stop down on M4/3 for a sharp image, just enough depth of field.
Now if I put the canon 800mm on my 5D MK2 it would improve things a lot. But that would be a dream for me and too heavy.
